Intro Game Creation: Ages 8-15
If you think playing computer games is fun, think what a blast learning to program your own games will be. Your imagination is the limit as you use GameMaker software to create maze, strategy, and a variety of other types of games. You’ll learn about creating sprites, objects, events and actions. Design a room, make it look the way you want, add objects and play your game. We’ll teach you how to display health, lives, score, splash screens and high score tables. Using drag and drop programming, you’ll be creating exciting, professional looking games you can play with your friends. Students receive a CD with all the class creations at the end of the course.You must have minimal experience using a computer to take this class.

Advanced Game Creation: Ages 8-15
Delve deeper into GameMaker techniques. This class is for those already familiar with GameMaker who want to take their game creation skills to the next level. We will examine gravity, platforms, bosses, levels, effects, scrolling rooms, GML (GameMaker’s built in programming language) and learn how to keep expanding our skills. Students receive a CD with all the class creations at the end of the course.
You must have already taken a Game Creation class with us or in some way demonstrate your ability to keep up with this class as basic GameMaker skills will be assumed.

App Game Development: Ages 13 and up
Want to go mobile with your games? Now you can! Using "novice friendly" software, even the newest programmer can create amazing games that can be played on any ios device. We will even show you how you can publish your game to the App Store if you want. Just think..... you could create the next Angry Birds!
Code will be introduced so basic computer knowledge is required and it is recommended that you have some game making or minor programming knowledge. This is an excellent next step from our Advanced Game Creation class.

Stop-Motion Movie Making: Ages 8-15
A Brick film is an animated film that uses LEGO® characters and pieces (as well as other manipulatives) to tell a story. If you’ve ever wanted to direct your own movies or like making up stories, then this camp is for you. Using cameras, animation software, and video editing software, you’ll create multi-scene movies with transitions, titles, credits, sound effects and narration. Design your own set with backgrounds, characters, and scenery. Students receive a DVD with all the class creations at the end of the course.
The stories are up to your imagination. With a huge assortment of sets to choose from, this course can be taken again and again with new creations every time!

Intro to Computer Animation: ages 12 and up
In this class students will learn how to create their own short animated stories, or cartoons. Students will learn how to draw objects, animate pre-made models, and use timelines and layers. After the animation is complete, movie editing software will then be used to add titles and sound.
This class is great for anyone interested in art and computer animation! Students receive a DVD with all the class creations at the end of the course.
Note: This class should not be confused with our stop-motion movie class which uses LEGO figures and other manipulatives. In this class, all work is done on the computer.

Roaring into Robotic JR: Ages 6 - 8 (with LEGO® WeDo Robotics)
This is a fun and exciting way to introduce young students to the world of computers and robotics!
Using programmable motors and sensor, we will learn how simple machines work by making a loin roar, an alligator snap its jaw or a soccer player kick a goal.... Just a few of our challenges that will encourage creative thinking while working with pulleys, levers, belts and more. No prior robotics exprience required.

Roaring Into Robots: Ages 8 - 15
(with LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT)
This exciting class teaches you how to program the newest LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT robots, the coolest robot available. You will use your new skills to meet such challenges as moving objects, defeating obstacles and beating your opponent at a Sumo battle. This class will introduce programming concepts such as repeat loops and if/then statements, and sensor use will also be taught.

Advanced Robotics: Ages 8-15
Ready to step up your programming? In this course you will pair up as a team to work on individual challenges or challenge other teams. This course is for students who have experience with building and programming LEGO® Mindstorms® robots. Students should have a basic understanding of how to use sensors, motors and repeat blocks.
This class provides new challenges each session and can be taken multiple times. All robot classes will be taught with the newest LEGO® Mindstorms® NXT robot.

Little Bytes: Ages 6 & 7
The computer camp for 6 – 7 year olds. You’ll work in teams of two to build and play with real LEGO® Mindstorms robots and make animated movies that you can take home on CDs.
This course can be taken again and again with new challenges and manipulatives every time.
