Why We Support

On October 6, 2011 our 14 year old son was diagnosed with a brain tumor that we would later learned to be Juvenile Pilocytic Astrocytoma.  From the moment Children's at Scottish Rite discovered the tumor (through the surgery and unexpected post-surgery meningitis) to his current post-op rehab, their knowledgeable and caring staff have been by our side every step of the way.

We know now how blessed we are to have CHOA here in Atlanta.  From the surgeons and doctors to the nurses, techs and therapists.... the genuine care for not only the patient but the family has made a huge impact on us.

We will never be able to thank CHOA enough for all they have done for Sean and our family.  Sean however, came up with a great way to start.... donate a portion of our profits to the facility that saved his life!

So that is why BB&B now happily supports Children's Healthcare of Atlanta!  Why 6%?  Well, Sean decided on that number because they found his tumor on Oct 6th and it was over 6cm in size.  Sounds like good enough reasoning to me. :)  To find out more about Sean's recovery, read our Sean's Journey Blog.
